Choc Sunday!
Every once in a while, when there’s absolutely nothing for dinner and everyone’s bored with the usual, you just have to throw in the towel and make ice cream sundaes for dinner! As the entrée, not the dessert! We don’t recommend doing this often, but sometimes you just need a surprise in the nightly feed.
And really, if you take ice cream full of calcium, and top it with chopped nuts, berries, and chocolate sauce, aren't all of those things healthy food?

Questions
Wee ones: If you have 8 tablespoons of chocolate sauce, and you’re making sundaes for 4 people, how much sauce does each person get (if the same for each)?
Little kids: If you have 4 flavors of ice cream, and you can top each one with caramel, berries, or nuts, how many different one-scoop/one-topping sundaes can you make? Bonus: What if you dig out 2 more ice cream flavors, and you also make whipped cream topping: how many one-scoop/one-topping combos now?
Big kids: If you have 5 ice cream flavors – say vanilla, chocolate, peanut butter, mint, and Oreo – and you can put two scoops in a dish, including two of the same, how many two-scoop combos can you make? (Assume they’re side by side, so order doesn’t matter.)

Answers:
Wee ones: 2 tablespoons per sundae.
Little kids: 12 sundaes: each of the 4 ice creams, topped with each of 3 toppings. Bonus: 24 sundaes: it’s now 6 flavors times 4 toppings!
Big kids: There are 15 possible pairs of scoops. First vanilla with all of them including itself: VV, VC, VP, VM, VO. Then chocolate with all of them except vanilla, since you already did that one: CC, CP, CM, CO. And so on, knocking out one more flavour each time, making 5+4+3+2+1.
